How Jacob Applebottom survived as long as he has in Laneet is a bit of a mystery to the adventurers. Although not an intimate aquaintance with Solomon, Jacob recognized the dwarven wizard well enough to pull him and his traveling companions aside when they reached Laneet after traveling back to the Prime Material Plane from The Shores. He updated the PC's on the political situation in Laneet and told them about his traveling companion, Yarin Thornwood.
