Julian is a hard-drinking man, and an employee of Alexander Poe.
He seems to be Poe's liason to the city of Serriyam and possibly the party. In the past he has provided the party with valuable information, including the true nature of In His Shadow and introducing the party to Erik Surefoot.
He forwarded an offer of employment from the mysterious Mr. Poe. The rest of the party accepted and were paid generously for it, while I declined.

Upon returning to Jarrowby we've learned some very interesting things about Julian! It seems that like Leisl, Julian is also someone touched by the gods, though a different god in this case. It would seem that he is a follower of Lohmot who I believe is the god of portals and death, which sounds a bit ominous but I am assured it is a good sort of death. Not only is Julian touched in a similar way to the way Leisl is, but he is also dedicated to reforming the Champions of the Brink! That enigmatic group that Leisl feels herself allied with and which seem to be more and more intertwined with our adventures. What these new revelations mean I've no idea, but I'm certain it will be interesting!
